Location: Half way between the airport and the city centre (15 minutes by taxi to either), right beside the Romexpo centre. I stayed at numerous hotels in Bucharest over the years but always come back to the Crown Plaza. Quite, well sized rooms; excellent breakfast; extremely friendly and helpful staff. Swimming pool and fitness studio - larger than your average hotel. Negatives: Breakfast staff were moody and indifferent - shame really, as the other staff are tops. Conclusion: Perfect location for a businessman with all the mod con facilities. Right beside the big expo centre. For tourists, it's not central and can only be reached by taxi!

I stayed there for two nights in November 2007. It is a very nice, relatively small as for the Crowne Plaza (3 Floors only) hotel. A bit out of the city centre, although as I could see it is very close to the Romexpo, so if you are going for the exhibition it will be a perfect location for you. They gave me an upgrade from a standard room to a large suite, which I really loved (about 60sqm). Clean and modern rooms, very friendly staff with excellent English - the only thing I really did not like was a very limited breakfast buffet. Apart from this the hotel is clearly recommended.

Io e mio marito abbiamo trascorso 3 notti qui e ci siamo trovati benissimo! Le persone alla reception erano davvero gentili ed efficienti e non sempre si trovano così negli hotel in Romania. Ci siamo divertiti e rilassati in piscina e con la Jacuzzi che erano aperte fino alle 23 e la camere era non smoking, molto pulita e con un balcone. Ci torneremo sicuramente se ci fermeremo ancora a Bucharest durante la nostra prossima vacanza.

I stayed 1 night with my wive and two other familly members. I had a club room on the 1st floor. The hotel was very quiet and I very easy to find driving from the airport with a good parking. It is very easy to drive downtown from there as well. I have been to several other hotels in Bucharest, this is one of the best. Unfortunately my stay was too short to enjoy the swimming pool and fitness but I had a quick look and it seemed excellent. Nice breakfast buffet. Also a very good service from "Florin" the concierge and other members of the reception staff.
