Shanghai, China's biggest and most advanced city is located on the country's central eastern coast in Yangtze River Delta. Among the finest in town historical places for a stay is famous old colonial Astor House Hotel, visited by such guests as Albert Einstein and Charlie Chaplin. The hotel's central location, within 10 minutes walks from the end of the Bund, and 15 minutes from Nanjing Road, so it's ideally situated for sightseeing. Another representative of historic hotels is Ruijin Guesthouse, once being a series of old mansions, today is green a villa style hotel with five classical villas with spacious rooms.
