Shanghai, China's biggest and most advanced city is located on the country's central eastern coast in Yangtze River Delta. Being just a fishing and textile town in the past, today Shanghai is a multicultural metropolis with over 20 million people, combining both modern and historical Chinese features. The city is administered as a municipality of China with province-level status. The river divides Shanghai into two big areas - Pudong, the new financial center, on the eastern bank and Puxi, historic center of the city on the West. The hotel's central location, within 10 minutes walks from the end of the Bund, and 15 minutes from Nanjing Road, so it's ideally situated for sightseeing.
